Spring Festival in Chinese New Year

On the 15th day of January in Lunar Calendar – two weeks after the Lunar New Year, another important traditional Chinese festival – the Lantern Festival or Yuanxiao Festival (元宵节), is celebrated. It marks the first full moon of the new lunar year and the end of the Spring Festival period. This year, the Chinese Lantern Festival will be on February 5, 2023

On the night of the Lantern Festival, the streets are decorated with colorful lanterns, often with riddles written on them. Besides, everyone will eat sweet rice balls called tangyuan, watch dragon dances, lion dances, and light up firework together
